
It 's been a year since the last edition but the return of the Maxi Yacht Rolex Cup renews the ferment in Porto Cervo, Sardinia is breath for over twenty years, since the Yacht Club Costa Smeralda in collaboration with the historic Rolex sponsors, organizes what has become one of the leading events of its sporting calendar. Particularly rich, and the number of members that the level of the sailors, this year's event includes the first edition Mini Maxi Rolex ISAF World Championship, in which 24 of the 49 boats entered the race for the title World Class Mini Maxi. The boats that make up the exceptional fleet representing 13 nations compete and have a length between 18 and 45 meters.

Among the boats entered in the latter class only those who participate in the regulation owner-driver of the International Maxi Association (which provides for the presence at the helm of owner), are competing for the championship Mini Maxi. During the sailing event crews will compete on both windward / leeward in inshore around the granitic islands of the Archipelago de La Maddalena , in a scenario that makes this race course one of the most beautiful in the world.
